A. PREAMBLE

As a trained Engineer, I learnt to find solutions to problems.

This idea was born out of challenges faced as a senior citizen in having a decent and convenient bath experience, without the need for swopping bath sponges or spending money unnecessarily.

This content is an attempt at finding a cost effective solution to a problem that affect some of us in our adult life; and which could affect others in the later years.

I’ve married Engineering, Content Creation and Entrepreneurial skills with the hope of being part of the value chain in solving this problem.

1. Introduction

This is Jack Lookman welcoming you to our series on Jack’s Curated Business Ideas. Today’s topic is The Bath Sponge Project.

I’ve used quite a few Bath Sponges to date, and my experiences have varied over time. In order to save time, I shall concentrate my content on three selected Bath Sponges.

The aim of this content is:

to stimulate your thought process by encouraging you to think outside the box

The content is more of an outline, and therefore not exhaustive.

2. Bath Sponges Under Consideration

Bath Sponge A is a round sponge. The user experience is great but doesn’t quite wash the back effectively especially for older citizens.
Bath Sponge B is one with a handle. It was designed to wash the back
Bath Sponge C is a long sponge for washing the back. But the use is limited to the back.

3. The Idea

The idea is to have a sponge with a good user experience like sponge A, and the same one that could effectively wash the back, especially for older citizens, like sponges B and C. Also, the proposed Bath Sponge is a hybrid of all 3 Bath Sponges.

The material shall be carefully curated; it should meet required specifications. A Chemical Engineer or suitable other professionals shall curate the chemical composition. The material could stretch, to effectively wash the back and it could shrink, to effectively wash the rest of the body.

Acceptance in the market place may initially be difficult.
There may be litigation if due diligence isn’t carried out.
Staffing issues may arise at any point

Disclaimers need to be in place to protect yourself, and business
Intellectual rights shall be protected
Licensing rights shall be protected as a major monetisation source
Business status shall be in the least, a limited liability company.
Regulatory compliance shall be duly met
GDPR- general data protection regulations shall be complied-with, especially with personal data; while exploring Affiliate Marketing.
Contracts and agreements need to be in place between your business, stakeholders, associates, users and any 3rd parties.
You need to have a plan, in the event of litigation. It’s better to prevent this by carrying out due diligence.
Staffing issues such as strikes, holiday, sickness, pension, etc need to be addressed as necessary.
